❤️ What do you love most about teaching young children?

After more than 12 years of teaching at Spring Academy Westfield, I especially love witnessing those special “lightbulb moments”—when a child suddenly understands a new concept or successfully completes a task they has been working hard to master. Seeing their excitement, confidence, and pride is incredibly rewarding!

❤️ What do you love most about teaching young children?

As a Primary Montessori teacher, I love nurturing the whole child and guiding each student through every area of learning—from practical life, sensorial, language, and mathematics to science, geography, art, and cultural studies. Drawing on my background as a science teacher, I especially enjoy incorporating hands-on exploration and discovery into the classroom, encouraging children to ask questions, think critically, and develop a genuine love of learning. It is incredibly rewarding to watch each child grow in confidence, independence, and curiosity as they build skills that will serve them throughout their lives.

❤️ What do you love most about teaching young children?
With a background in Psychology and Early Childhood Education, I am passionate about creating a warm, nurturing environment where toddlers feel safe, loved, and excited to learn. I enjoy supporting each child's social, emotional, language, and cognitive development through hands-on activities, play, and meaningful interactions. Teaching Chinese allows me to introduce children to a new language and culture in a fun, natural way, helping them build confidence, curiosity, and a love of learning from an early age.

❤️ What do you love most about teaching young children?

I love watching young children grow, discover, and gain confidence every day. With my background in Psychology and child development, I enjoy creating meaningful learning experiences that support each child's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development. I believe children learn best through play, movement, exploration, and hands-on discovery, and it is incredibly rewarding to nurture their natural curiosity while helping them build a strong foundation for lifelong learning.

❤️ What do you love most about teaching young children? 

Watching young children learn, explore, and express themselves is what inspires me every day. I love getting to know each child as an individual and carefully supporting their unique developmental journey. By paying close attention to developmental milestones, I can tailor activities and learning experiences to meet each child's needs, helping them build confidence and reach their full potential. It is incredibly rewarding to see children grow, gain new skills, and discover the world around them in their own special way.

❤️ What do you love most about teaching young children?
I love creating a calm, caring, and welcoming classroom where every child feels safe, respected, and confident to learn. Young children thrive in a peaceful environment with consistent routines, and I enjoy helping them develop independence, kindness, and a love of learning through gentle guidance and encouragement. Teaching Spanish is especially rewarding because I can introduce children to a new language and culture in a fun, natural way while watching their confidence and curiosity grow each day.

❤️ What do you love most about teaching young children?

One of the most rewarding parts of teaching young children is witnessing the "lightbulb moment"—that instant when a child truly understands a new concept. In a Montessori classroom, this often happens through hands-on exploration with thoughtfully designed Montessori materials, allowing children to discover and learn at their own pace. I also love watching them use self-correction to identify and fix their own mistakes, building both confidence and independence. Seeing children joyfully repeat an activity over and over until a concept becomes deeply understood is incredibly fulfilling. Watching their curiosity grow into genuine understanding reminds me every day why I love teaching.

❤️ What do you love most about teaching young children?

I love being part of each child’s growth and seeing their unique personality develop. It is especially rewarding to help children feel safe, supported, and cared for while encouraging their learning and emotional development. Working with children also strengthens my passion for pediatric nursing and inspires me to make a positive difference in their lives.

I love watching children grow, learn, and become more confident each day. It is especially rewarding to support their individual needs, celebrate their accomplishments, and help create a nurturing environment where they feel safe, happy, and excited to learn.

 Ms. Li: 🍎 Chinese Teacher, Floater

🎓 B.S. 

Ms. Hong Li brings more than 11 years of experience teaching and caring for young learners in toddler, preschool, pre-K, and kindergarten classrooms. Her experience also includes summer camps, enrichment programs, and individualized tutoring. She creates a warm, engaging classroom where children feel comfortable learning, exploring, and developing at their own pace.

Ms. Li believes every child is unique and takes time to understand each student’s personality, interests, strengths, and individual needs. She values strong relationships with children and families and strives to create a safe, supportive environment where children feel confident and excited to learn.

Outside of school, Ms. Li enjoys playing musical instruments, gardening, and finding creative ways to incorporate music, technology, and hands-on experiences into her teaching.

I love getting to know each child’s unique personality and watching them grow more curious, independent, and confident. It is especially rewarding to see their excitement when they discover something new or master a skill they have been practicing. I also value the trusting relationships I build with children and their families and enjoy creating a classroom where every child feels safe, supported, and happy to learn.
