School Year Programs
As part of Spring Academy’s offerings, we invite you to select from a wide range of programs for every age:
Transition (1 – 2 ½ years old)
This is a wonderful place for your young children to begin their educational journey. Spring Academy offers a warm, nurturing, and safe home-away-from-home for very young children. We engage your children in stimulating activities to help them develop socially and cognitively. We also have a quiet room designated expressly for nap time. Click Toddler Curriculum for more information.
Primary (2 ½ years old – 5 years old)
For our Primary program, we apply a Montessori Method to teaching also known as a whole child approach. We know that gifted children are more than their academic achievements. Although intellectual development is essential, we also strive to foster social, emotional, cognitive and physical development that promotes creativity, curiosity, individuality and social growth for our students. This is what we mean by the “whole child approach.” We work on language development activities based on the Montessori Method, hand crafts, gross motor play, indoor and outdoor recreation, creative movement and music with our Enrichment programs. Our warm, loving staff is integral to the success of our program. They are skilled professionals who offer children affection, compassion and guidance. The intimacy of our preschool allows parents and teachers to work together in the best interest of each individual child.
Chinese Immersion (2 1/2 years old – 6 years old)
Studies have found that language immersion programs, where at least 50 percent of the time students spend learning a secondary language, work wonders in developing students’ language fluency, cognitive development and academic skills.
For Chinese Immersion, we build in the Montessori philosophy through the language of Mandarin Chinese and also teach Chinese culture. Our goal is to train our children to master the complicated yet most popular language from an early age, thus prepare them to be global citizens. There is also an option for students to take half day Montessori sessions and half day Chinese Immersion sessions daily.
Spanish Immersion (2 ½ years old – 6 years old)
For Spanish Immersion, we build in Montessori philosophy through Spanish, as well as teach Spanish culture. Our goal is to train our children to master another popular language from an early age, thus prepare them to be global citizens. There is also an option for students to take half day Montessori sessions and half day Spanish Immersion sessions daily.
After School (5 years old – 13 years old)
Our After-School programs not only help children excel academically and develop life-long skills, but assist them in discovering their true talents. Our enrichment programs include Homework Club, foreign language, and many other optional programs. Our development programs include ballet/Chinese dance, art, chess, Karate, music, and vocal instruction.
We offer school bus pick-ups directly from your child’s school! (Please call us to find out if your child’s school is on our bus route.)
